Was Caitlyn Jenner the victim of a hate crime as she left the LGBT Awards in London on Friday? A rep for the transgender star could not confirm to Gossip Cop “anything negative” went down, despite a widely-spread report.

Jenner traveled to the U.K. this week to continue the press tour for her memoir, The Secrets Of My Life. After a few media appearances, she attended the British LGBT Awards, an event described as the “Gay Oscars,” at the Grand Connaught Rooms. The ceremony honored stars and companies that have impacted the LGBT community. Jenner received the “Huffington Post Loud And Proud Award.”

But when the “I Am Caiit” star exited the venue, she was allegedly the target of vile comments from transphobic protesters. According to a source for The Sun, one shouted, “Oi, Bruce, get your d*k’ out.” The source further claims “someone else threw something at her,” and the British paper maintains most of the slurs allegedly hurled are “too rude for publication.” The outlet contends a “shaken” Jenner safely made it to her car, but asserts police were called to the scene and are investigating the purported incident as a hate crime.

Gossip Cop, however, reached out to Jenner’s rep for comment, and we were exclusively told the Olympian “said things went great while there. No mention of anything negative.” Jenner has not mentioned anything unusual on social media, either. She tweeted Friday, “Thank you to my fans in the U.K.! #SecretsOfMyLife.” She also shared an Instagram photo of herself posing in front of Big Ben. She wrote in the caption, “London baby! Selling the book! #SecretsOfMyLife.”

As Gossip Cop reported at the time, Jenner was previously confronted by protesters in Chicago back in 2015. One even told her she was an “insult to trans people.” Footage of the protest aired on “I Am Cait” in 2016.
