As Gossip Cop reported, Jenner revealed in her interview with Diane Sawyer that she’s “happy” with her transition and feels “peaceful.” She told Sawyer she doesn’t “miss being Bruce,” and “never had a doubt I did the right thing.” During that interview on “20/20,” Jenner further noted that she “learned a lot about compassion” after she transitioned, and also spoke about having the “final surgery.” “I wasn’t less a woman the day before I had the surgery than the day after the surgery,” she said. Following Friday’s broadcast, Jenner opened up on “GMA” about her new memoir, which is set for release on April 25.

“I honestly think everyone should go out and meet a transgender person,” Jenner told Michael Strahan. “Instead of thinking, ‘Oh my god, they’re trans,’ find out about their story. They’re amazing people.” She continued, “The other night, I had dinner with three other trans girls. We just sat around sharing conversations about our lives, and what we’ve been through. They’re fascinating, and I so enjoy being part of that community.”

Jenner went on to talk about her first “20/20” interview with Sawyer in 2015, and spoke about how far she’s come since then. “I certainly have, over the last two years, opened up the conversation about a very marginalized community,” she said. “I’m very proud of that. I really had no choice but to come out publicly. The tabloids and the media were destroying me for so long. I’ve been working over the last two years, been misunderstood, made a lot of mistakes, but I’ve worked hard to try and make a difference.” Watch the full “Good Morning America” interview below!
