Caitlyn Jenner is not joining “Celebrity Big Brother,” despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim, which was spread by a site that has been repeatedly wrong about the transgender activist. We’re told any talk of her being part of the reality competition show is “untrue.”

RadarOnline, which has published several misguided stories about Jenner, has once again posted an inaccurate article about her that was easily avoidable had it done even the tiniest amount of fact-checking. According to its latest report, the former Olympic gold medalist “has joined the cast of CBS reality show.” Jenner, who was on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” for many years, is “rumored to be joining ‘Celebrity Big Brother,’” writes the frequently disproven blog.

So how did the website come to its information? “A Twitter user posted what she claimed to be the full cast list on social media,” asserts the outlet. The blog adds, “Fans were excited to see Caitlyn named as a houseguest.” The online publication then ends its flimsy report by noting, “The ‘I Am Cait’ star could be getting ready for a big reality TV comeback of the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ if rumors are true.”

But rather than doing any reporting, the outlet instead based its article on a tweet from a Twitter user. What’s next, will the site also post what it reads in comment sections, on bathroom walls, and in fortune cookies? Regardless, Gossip Cop reached out to Jenner’s rep, who exclusively and unequivocally tells us the blog (and the Twitter user’s) claim about her joining “Celebrity Big Brother” is “untrue.”

Frankly, it makes one wonder about that website’s other sources, who are generally unnamed and untraceable. To be sure, the outlet has a fairly unremarkable record when it comes to reporting about Jenner, especially in relation to TV shows. Back in 2015, for example, it falsely maintained Jenner was joining the cast of “Dancing With The Stars.”

That was wrong, as were its April 2017 and June 2018 tales about how Jenner was launching her own talk show. Nor can Gossip Cop forgot another phony tale the site posted about Jenner and her ex-wife Kris Jenner planning to do a reality show together. Actually, the latest story’s premise is not even new. Back in 2017, Gossip Cop busted a British tabloid when it incorrectly alleged Jenner was joining “Celebrity Big Brother” for $1.3 million.

The current story about Jenner was tied to her attending the Palm Springs International Film Festival with gal pal Sophia Hutchins on Friday. RadarOnline, which incorrectly contended in the past the two women were adopting a baby, recently claimed Jenner and Hutchins were “snubbed” from the Kardashians’ Christmas party, only to be embarrassed hours later when they were pictured at the annual bash. While that outlet sometimes bases its articles on what it finds on Twitter and nameless sources, Gossip Cop will continue to check in with more reliable and easily identifiable individuals.
