Bruce Willis did not suffer a heart attack on the set of his new film, despite a laughably wrong report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story. The tabloid that published it doesn’t seem to know the difference between the movies and real life.

An alleged source tells the National Enquirer that the actor’s friends are worried about his health after he “dropped like a sack of potatoes” while shooting the upcoming film Motherless Brooklyn, a 1950s-set murder mystery surrounding a private detective with Tourette’s Syndrome. The questionable source goes on to say that the film’s cast and crew “were terrified that [Willis] had a heart attack” when he collapsed.

The outlet’s suspicious tipster further contends that Willis’ years of partying may have “taken a toll” on his well-being. “People are worried that his background of abusing his body may have been too much for his heart to take at this age. He might end up killing himself if he keeps going at this pace.” The seemingly phony source concludes, “This was a lightening rod for bigger worries. He’s slipping down a perilous slope.”

This is all absurdly untrue. For starters, Willis’ fall on the set of Motherless Brooklyn was part of a scene for the film in which his character is running away from gunshots. In fact, photos from the set show the actor’s co-star, Edward Norton, pulling him into a car after he falls to the ground. This was all scripted.

Despite the tabloid’s article being based on lies, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Willis, who assures us that no one in the actor’s inner circle is concerned about his health. The Enquirer seems to have difficultly differentiating between fantasy and reality. For the record, Willis also never traveled to space to prevent an asteroid from hitting Earth, nor did he battle a group of terrorists in a Los Angeles high-rise.

It’s worth noting, this isn’t the first time that Gossip Cop has had to debunk nonexistent drama on the set of one of Willis’ movies. We previously busted OK! for falsely claiming that the actor was acting moody and difficult while filming the upcoming Death Wish remake. This latest article surrounding an imaginary heart attack is equally baseless.
