Do Brooklyn Beckham’s parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, really give him thousands of dollars to spend at nightclubs if he gets good grades? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids, but Gossip Cop has the exclusive truth.

According to Star, the 18-year-old’s famous parents bribe him to do well in school by offering him an extravagant partying allowance in exchange for good marks. A supposed “source” tells the magazine that the teen will regularly “drop $1,000 to $3,000” on a single night of clubbing, with his expenses supposedly including bodyguards, limos and rounds of drinks for him and a large group of friends.

“Victoria would like him to be a little less flashy,” adds the outlet’s dubious insider. “But if David knows there’s a girl Brooklyn is hoping to impress, he’ll slip him an extra $1,000 for fancy champagne.” Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a rep for the Beckham family, who exclusively assures us the magazine’s entire report is simply “ridiculous.” Although it’s not uncommon for parents to reward their children when they get good grades, the assertion that David and Victoria encourage their son to go wild at nightclubs is simply false.

Of course, we’re not particularly surprised by the tabloid’s phony story. Gossip Cop previously busted Star’s sister publication, OK!, when it falsely claimed last year that Brooklyn was proposing to Chloe Grace Moretz. Instead, the pair broke up shortly after that report was published. This latest article about the Beckham boy is equally wrong.
