Britney Spears is not writing a tell-all book, despite a new report that claims the singer wants to “set the record straight about who she really is.” Gossip Cop can reveal the truth. We’re told it’s “not true.”

According to the often disproven Life & Style, Spears, who is “tired of hearing all these half-truths about her,” has decided to release her private journals. A so-called “source” tells the outlet that even though the singer has been “tight-lipped” about her private life in the past, she’s “ready to be completely open and honest about who she is and how she feels.”

What’s more, the tabloid goes on to claim that Spears intends to reveal exclusive information about her former relationship with Justin Timberlake and even her “current love of eight months,” Sam Asghari. “This book is going to surprise a lot of people,” concludes the tipster.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has busted Life & Style for its misleading tell-all tales, so we were understandably dubious about this latest article. For instance, in May, we corrected the magazine for falsely alleging Brad Pitt was writing a tell-all about his marriage to Angelina Jolie. And in April, we corrected the publication for wrongly claiming Mariah Carey’s ex-boyfriend Bryan Tanaka was writing a tell-all book as “revenge” for being dumped by the singer.

But despite the tabloid’s history, we investigated into the outlet’s claim, and a reliable source close to Spears assures us the report is “not true.” The singer is not writing a tell-all book about her life, and we can confirm that no such publication will be hitting shelves anytime soon. It’s fake news.

Naturally, this latest fabrication comes from the same tabloid that falsely reported in April that Spears was planning to propose to Asghari. And shortly before that bogus claim, we debunked the outlet for wrongly claiming Spears was looking to get cheek implants. Much like those phony stories, this latest one is equally untrue.
