Britney Spears is not demanding to do a "tell-all interview," despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can correct a website's claim that the singer want to speak out, but her parent have "shut down" her request to talk to the media. We're told the entire premise is simply "not true."
The latest tall tale comes from RadarOnline, an outlet that has been repeatedly shown to post untrue stories about Spears. In its latest attempt, the often debunked blog contends Spears' parents, Lynne and Jamie, are fighting with the singer who's intent on doing an interview about her mental health. To try to lend credence to its report, the site alleges it has a "source" who shares that it's become "tense" between Spears and her mom. The site asserts Lynne is against the singer doing an interview because her past sit-downs with the media have been a "mess."
Glaringly, the blog's so-called "source" doesn't mention what Spears wants to discuss in the supposed "tell-all interview." In fact, far from telling "all" that Spears wants to talk about, the outlet can't point to one single thing the singer feels compelled to publicly address. And the reason is that the whole narrative is false. It appears the website just wanted to craft a dramatic story about Spears facing off with her parents.
For full disclosure, Gossip Cop's editor, Michael Lewittes, was the producer of Spears' famous 2006 interview with Matt Lauer in which the singer broke down about the media's portrayal of her. Suffice to say, we have close ties to all the subjects involved in the latest RadarOnline article, and we're assured by a Spears confidante that the blog's story is 100 percent "not true." The singer has no desire to do a "tell-all interview" at this point, and so she's not fighting with her parents over this nonexistent scenario.
The site and its questionable sources have been wrong with its stories about Spears for years. Back in 2017, the blog insisted Spears was going to get pregnant with boyfriend Sam Asghari's baby after her "Piece Of Me" residency in Las Vegas ended. At the time, thanks to our impeccable contacts, we noted that article was also "not true." Similarly, we busted the same outlet in 2016 when it published an absurd tale about Spears having a third child via IVF with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Gossip Cop also shot down the site 16 months ago when it untruthfully maintained Spears and Asghari were engaged and planning a wedding to take place in early 2018. As we rightly stated back then, and as time has proven, that never happened. And while the habitually inaccurate blog alleged then that Spears' family was "thrilled" she was going to tie the knot, just six weeks ago, the outlet manufactured yet another bogus report about how Spears' dad was banning her from getting married to Asghari.
Either the website has the incredibly unreliable Spears sources or it's fabricating its claims about the singer. Regardless of which one it is, the net result is that the outlet's articles about her are indisputably untrue.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
