Britney Spears is not “terrified” to return to Las Vegas following Sunday’s massacre, despite a report. While she is understandably upset about the mass shooting, the pop star still remains devoted to the city and dedicated to her commitments there, Gossip Cop has learned exclusively. We can correct this inaccurate story claiming otherwise.
RadarOnline is falsely announcing, “Britney Spears ‘Terrified’ To Return To Las Vegas After Horrific Massacre.” The singer has a residency at Planet Hollywood, but a so-called “source” claims she’s “legitimately scared to go to Las Vegas to finish her show.” The webloid’s supposed snitch goes on to assert, “As of right now, she wishes she could get out of the remainder of her contract because she does not feel safe at all going back there and doing a show in front of a large crowd.”
“She has been really freaking out about it,” continues the site’s alleged tipster. “She is already a slightly paranoid person, but this whole thing has gotten her and her family extremely concerned for her safety.” Furthermore, contends the outlet, “Several of Britney’s dancers are just ready to quit now. No one on her show really feels that secure about resuming the residency after what happened.” And, as a result of these concerns, “She is in talks right now with the casino to see if there is a solution. If she doesn’t postpone the show then she is going to require quadruple the security, at least,” maintains the publication’s “source.”
But Gossip Cop is told these contentions are a collection of falsehoods. “This is completely not true and in fact the opposite” of how Spears actually feels, her rep exclusively tells us. We hear that while the performer of course feels “horrible” about the tragedy, she is “not afraid to come back to Vegas.” On the contrary, “She is all about supporting the Vegas community. Vegas is her second home.” RadarOnline has spread misinformation about the singer in the past, but doing so in this instance is really beyond the pale.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
