Britney Spears had to be escorted offstage by security at her Las Vegas show on Wednesday night after a crazed fan rushed the stage during her performance. Watch the startling incident in the video below.

Spears was performing her hit song “(You Drive Me) Crazy” during her Piece of Me show when a man, identified as Jess Webb, stormed the side of the stage and attempted to sprint toward the singer before promptly being tackled by a group of security guards and backup dancers. The singer didn’t notice the commotion at first, instead asking the crowd, “Are you guys having fun?!” After she was approach by two members of her security team, the confused singer asked, “What’s going on?” before being escorted backstage.

As Webb was forcibly led offstage, he appeared to kick one of the security guards. The out-of-control fan was reportedly acting disorderly during the concert and was asked to leave prior to rushing the stage. Following the incident, Webb was arrested for trespassing.

Fortunately for the paying crowd, the singer returned to the stage to finish out her concert once Webb was apprehended. Both TMZ and The Daily Mail are reporting that Spears asked security if the man had a gun, but it isn’t apparent in the video below that she questioned if he was armed. Spears has been performing her Piece of Me show at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas since December 2013, but the show has been revamped many times over the years. The singer’s residency is expected to end December 31, 2017.

Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Spears for more information about Wednesday night’s disturbance, but we’re waiting to hear back. Watch the incident go down in the video below.
