Brie Larson has been at the center of several false tabloid stories as of late. Gossip Cop has had to debunk a lot of bogus stories about the actress. Here are a few wrong rumors.
Earlier this month, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Larson's Avengers: Endgame co-stars all hated her. According to the magazine, the actress's castmates thought shed had a "big head" and a bad attitude, despite being new to the Marvel franchise. Not only did the actress's spokesperson dismiss the story as nonsense, but there was a ton of evidence proving she gets along well with her co-stars.
For starters, Don Cheadle flat-out denied rumors of friction between Larson and the cast following speculation on social media. The actress also had plenty of friendly exchanges with her co-stars in interviews and on social media. For example, Robert Downey Jr. kissed the actress on the head when she got emotional during a fan event in Korea, while Chris Evans took to Twitter in March to congratulate her on the box office success of Captain Marvel.
Gossip Cop also called out Star earlier this month for wrongly reporting that Larson was specifically feuding with Chris Hemsworth. The tabloid alleged that the Thor actor felt his co-star was a "prima donna" who was being "rude" to the rest of the cast. The story was concocted simply because the two stars got into a playful spat during an interview with "Entertainment Tonight."
Larson and Hemsworth had a lighthearted argument over who performed more stunts, and the tabloid tried to twist the situation into a real-life battle. The magazine didn't mention that during the same interview, the actress was asked if she stole anything from the Avengers: Endgame set, and Hemsworth responded, "You stole our hearts." Larson later retweeted fan art of their characters fighting alongside each other and tagged her co-star in the post.
Last month, Gossip Cop debunked a ridiculous NW article claiming Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, was worried about Larson stealing her husband. The magazine maintained that Pataky was threatened by her husband's "flirty friendship" with his co-star and had shot her dirty looks on the red carpet at the Avengers: Endgame premiere. A source close to the situation laughed off the report, and assured us Pataky wasn't concerned about her husband's friendship with his co-star, nor did she believe there was anything inappropriate going on between them.
And finally, Gossip Cop busted NW in March for making up a story about Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan competing to date Larson. The story was concocted simply because all three stars are part of the Marvel universe and appear to be single. The report was also based on claims from an anonymous "source," but the actress's rep told us on the record that it was nonsense. The Captain America star and Black Panther villain never got into a showdown over the actress.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
