A new tabloid report claims Bradley Cooper’s singing voice in the upcoming remake of A Star Is Born is so bad it needs to be dubbed by a professional singer. Gossip Cop looked into the claim, and we can exclusively set the record straight.

The actor directed, co-wrote and co-stars alongside Lady Gaga in the musical drama, which recently wrapped filming. Cooper plays a country music star in the film, and provided his own vocals, but Star is now reporting that the crew on set constantly whispered about his supposed lack of musical talent.

“He’s awful, Brad can’t sing at all, and no one has the guts to tell him,” a supposed “source” tells the magazine. “Producers are going to need to dub his vocals using Keith Urban or someone like that. There’s no way they can let his real voice stay in the movie. That’s how bad he is.”

Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a production insider, who exclusively assures us, “There is zero truth to this. The producers are over the moon about how the filming went.” Another source close to the situation similarly tells us the tabloid’s article is “completely ridiculous.” Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time we’ve had to debunk a bogus story surrounding the highly-anticipated remake.

Gossip Cop previously called out Star for falsely claiming Gaga was giving Cooper unwanted sexual attention on the set of A Star Is Born. We also corrected the magazine’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, after it wrongly reported Cooper was forcing Gaga to use her real name in the film’s credits. This latest article is equally untrue.
