Bradley Cooper is one of the most popular actors in the world. As a result, he’s frequently targeted by the tabloids. Here are five wrong rumors about the actor that Gossip Cop has corrected.

Last month, Gossip Cop busted In Touch for falsely claiming that Jennifer Lawrence was furious at the actor for casting Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born instead of her. The magazine claimed that the actress, who’ co-starred in several movies with Cooper, felt he should have offered her the role. There was no truth to the story. Lawrence praised A Star Is Born during an interview on Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast earlier this year. The actress called the film “phenomenal” and described Cooper as “an amazing director.”

In August, Gossip Cop shot down an OK! story claiming that Cooper warned Robert Pattinson not to date Suki Waterhouse. The report emerged after the Twilight star was spotted hanging out with the model in London. Cooper had dated the model for two years before they split in 2015, and according to the magazine, he told Pattinson that she had used him “to boost her career.” However, Cooper was dragged into the situation simply because he previously had a romance with Waterhouse. He never warned Pattinson against dating her and had no reason to do so. Cooper and Waterhouse had an amicable breakup. The article was complete fiction.

Gossip Cop called out Life & Style in January for alleging that Cooper was worried about A Star Is Born bombing at the box office. The tabloid claimed that the actor, who also directed and co-wrote the movie, felt it needed reshoots and was disappointed in Lady Gaga’s performance. In reality, Cooper and the execs at Warner Bros. have always been optimistic about the project. The release date of A Star Is Born was pushed back from May to October so the film would debut during awards season. Additionally, Cooper has raved about Gaga since day one.

Shortly after the birth of Cooper’s baby daughter last year, OK! made up a story about the actor “struggling” with fatherhood. The outlet claimed that Cooper was buckling under the stress of being a first-time dad and the situation was impacting his professional life as well. The story was completely baseless. In fact, Cooper said in a recent interview that having a child is something he’s “always dreamt of.” He went on to say that having a family is a “miracle,” and also shared how fatherhood has changed him for the better.

And finally, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer last year for making up a story about Cooper forcing Lady Gaga to use her real name, Stefani Germanotta, in the credits of A Star Is Born. The tabloid alleged that the actor wanted his leading lady to drop her stage name to give the film more “credibility.” Shortly after we debunked the premise, Gaga herself tweeted, “I’ve seen a lot of rumors on the internet that for ‘A Star Is Born’ I’ll be billed as Stefani, but that’s not the case. It’s Lady Gaga, baby!”
