Is Bradley Cooper really being forced to choose between Lady Gaga and Irina Shayk? One of this week's tabloids claims the actor is caught between his A Star Is Born co-star and his girlfriend. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story.
According to OK! Australia, Gaga has issued the actor an ultimatum to either commit to her or she'll end their relationship. A supposed source tells the magazine, "Gaga has told Bradley that he has to choose a creative life with her or a boring life with Irina - the mother of his child."
The alleged insider goes on to say that Gaga has made it clear she wants to be with Cooper romantically, but he's "lost and doesn't know who to choose." The outlet further contends that the singer is losing her patience, and now Cooper "will have to make the hardest decision of his life - and face losing either his baby mama or his artistic soulmate forever."
The tabloid's story is flat-out ridiculous. For starters, Gaga herself shot down the romance rumors surrounding her and Cooper during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in February. Additionally, separate reps for both stars have assured us several times that their relationship is just friendly and professional. The co-stars formed a close bond while making A Star Is Born, but their relationship is built on mutual admiration and respect. Gaga isn't forcing Cooper to leave the mother of his child for her, and the claim otherwise is absurd.
It's worth noting, Gossip Cop busted OK! Australia last month for falsely claiming Cooper and Gaga were moving in together. This latest article makes no mention of the co-stars shacking up. The American edition of the magazine then escalated the narrative by alleging Cooper and Gaga would be getting engaged after buying a house together. This ongoing storyline is ridiculous. Cooper and his girlfriend, with whom he shares a nearly two-year-old daughter, were spotted on a lunch date in New York City a little over a week ago.
Despite the magazine's latest report being baseless, Gossip Cop still checked in with Gaga's spokesperson, who confirms it's all fabricated. Despite what the outlet's anonymous "source" claims, the singer's rep tells us on the record that she hasn't issued Cooper any sort of ultimatum. The gossip media has spent a lot of time trying to create a love triangle between the actor, his co-star and his girlfriend. There's simply no truth to the premise.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
