For several months now, the tabloids have been attempting to create a fake love triangle between Bradley Cooper, his girlfriend Irina Shayk and his A Star Is Born co-star Lady Gaga. There's simply no drama or jealousy surrounding the trio. Here are five wrong rumors on the subject that we've recently debunked.
Last week, Gossip Cop busted OK! Australia for falsely claiming Cooper and Gaga were moving in together. The ridiculous story said Shayk was spending time with her and Cooper's nearly two-year-old daughter while he and Gaga dove "into the next phase of their relationship." A rep for the singer assured us on the record that she and Cooper aren't romantically involved and certainly aren't buying a house together. Just a few days ago, Cooper and Shayk were spotted with big smiles on their faces during an outing with their daughter in Los Angeles.
Last week, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer for alleging that Shayk was forcing Cooper to choose to between her and Gaga. The outlet claimed the Russian supermodel was upset about all the attention her boyfriend and his co-star received following their performance at the Oscars, and told him to cut ties with Gaga or she'll dump him. The outlet didn't bother to mention that Shayk gave Gaga and Cooper a standing ovation following their performance at the awards show. The model was also photographed hugging Gaga after the singer won the award for Best Original Song. Shayk isn't upset about her boyfriend's friendship with his co-star and never issued him any sort of ultimatum.
Last month, Gossip Cop called out Woman's Day Australia for making up a story about Cooper leaving Shayk for Gaga. The outlet said the reason the singer ended her engagement to Christian Carino is that she was in love with her co-star, who was ending his own relationship to be with her. Just days after we debunked the phony article, Cooper and Shayk had dinner at Jennifer Garner's house, where they brought along their young daughter and the actor's mom. The actor never dumped his girlfriend for Gaga.
Gossip Cop corrected In Touch in January for wrongly reporting that Shayk and Gaga got into a fight over Cooper at the Golden Globes. The tabloid said there was a lot of tension between the two women, who supposedly battled for Cooper's attention during the ceremony. In reality, Cooper and Shayk showed a ton of PDA throughout the awards show, and the singer never attempted to come between them. This was confirmed by a rep for Gaga, who told us on the record that the story was nonsense.
And finally, Gossip Cop busted Woman's Day in January for alleging that Shayk was ending her relationship with Cooper over his friendship with Gaga. The magazine claimed the supermodel was tired of being pushed to the side and felt like a "third wheel" to her boyfriend and his co-star. We immediately shot down the story, and in the weeks that followed, Shayk went on to support Cooper at the Oscars and other awards ceremonies. They're still happily together.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
