Irina Shayk is not forcing Bradley Cooper to choose between her and Lady Gaga, despite a ridiculous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus claim. There's simply no truth to it.
A headline in the latest issue of the National Enquirer reads, "Angry Irina To Bradley: It's Me Or Gaga!" The accompanying article says the actor's girlfriend is furious about all the attention surrounding the A Star Is Born co-stars, especially following their performance at last month's Oscars. "Irina is livid that all anyone will talk about is how hot her partner and Lady Gaga are together," a supposed source tells the outlet.
The alleged insider goes on to say that following the Academy Awards, Gaga sent Shayk an email promising "she'd never try to steal another woman's man," but the Russian supermodel "didn't reply." The seemingly phony tipster adds, "After the show, Irina told Bradley he has to choose once and for all between her and Gaga or she'll kick him to the curb."
None of this is remotely true. For starters, Cooper and Shayk were spotted packing on the PDA at the Oscars, indicating their relationship is going strong. As for the idea that the Russian supermodel is jealous of all the fanfare surrounding her boyfriend and his co-star, that's simply not the case. In fact, Shayk gave Gaga and Cooper a standing ovation following their performance at the awards ceremony. Later in the evening, Shayk was photographed hugging Gaga following the singer's win for Best Original Song.
It's worth noting, reps for both Gaga and Cooper have said multiple times that their relationship is purely friendly and professional. The co-stars formed a close bond while making their movie, but there's nothing romantic about their dynamic. Gaga herself shot down the romance rumors surrounding her and Cooper during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" earlier this month. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who confirms that this latest story is more nonsense.
Unfortunately, the tabloids have been pushing a nonexistent love triangle between Cooper, Gaga and Shayk for quite some time. Earlier this week, Gossip Cop called out the Enquirer's sister outlet, Star, for falsely claiming Gaga might be pregnant with Cooper's baby. Shortly before that, the magazine's other sister publication, In Touch, made up a story about Gaga asking Cooper to marry her. This latest article surrounding Shayk's supposed ultimatum to her boyfriend is also fabricated.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
