A tabloid claims Bradley Cooper has "ditched" Lady Gaga to repair his relationship with Irina Shayk. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus premise. It's simply not accurate.

An article in the latest issue of Woman's Day Australia says the actor's romance with his model girlfriend, with whom he shares a two-year-old daughter, had been "on the rocks" as a result of him getting close to his A Star Is Born co-star. An alleged insider tells the magazine Cooper is now "really trying to make it work" with Shayk and has "ditched Gaga for good."

The supposed source continues, "Now that the craziness of the movie is over, he's focusing on his family and Irina is warming back up to him." The questionable tipster adds, "Bradley realizes he's got some making up to do. But he's determined to stick this out."

Here's what's really happening. Woman's Day has been alleging for quite some time that Cooper and his girlfriend were headed for a split over his co-star. That hasn't happened. The untrustworthy outlet is simply trying to save face by backpedaling on its original narrative.

In February, for example, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Cooper was "leaving" Shayk for Gaga. Shortly before that, the tabloid made up a story about Cooper and Shayk ending their relationship over his co-star. This ongoing saga hasn't panned out. Instead of acknowledging it got the story wrong, the outlet is trying to cover its tracks by maintaining that the actor has "ditched" Gaga.

Separate reps for the A Star Is Born co-stars have said on the record countless time that there was never a romance between them. The singer herself dismissed such rumors during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" earlier this year. The co-stars formed a close bond while making their movie, but their dynamic has always been friendly and professional.

It should be noted, Page Six published an article on Monday claiming Cooper and Shayk's relationship is "hanging by a thread." Gossip Cop is looking into the claim and has reached out to reps for both stars. We can confirm, however, that Gaga doesn't factor into the situation at all.

Although we're still trying to get to the bottom of what's going on between Cooper and Shayk, it still remains unclear at this time if they're having problems. Just a few days ago, the couple was photographed taking their daughter out for ice cream in Los Angeles. Gossip Cop will update when we learn more.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
