Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Garner are not more than friends, despite a false report suggesting the two stars are dating. Gossip Cop can debunk the story. We've learned it's entirely untrue.
"Jen & Bradley Sneaking Around!" reads a headline in the latest issue of Woman's Day. Garner was spotted stopping by the actor's house in Los Angeles earlier this month, which was enough for the magazine to insist the visit was a "secret date" and there's a romance developing between the former "Alias" co-stars.
"No one would be surprised if they're finally taking their friendship to the next level," says a supposed source. "The timing couldn't be more perfect for them to make a real go of things once and for all." The alleged insider further contends Cooper has been leaning on Garner amid his breakup from Irina Shayk.
"In times of trouble they always seek the other out, but perhaps they've realized what they're looking for could be standing right in front of them," adds the questionable tipster. "They're actually perfect for one another," asserts the so-called "source." From there, the outlet maintains that Cooper is also in a relationship with Lady Gaga, who won't be happy when she learns he's getting close to Garner.
"She's not blind," says the seemingly phony source. The tipster continues, "She can see how well-suited they are and has said from the first time she saw them together that there's more than [a] friendship there. She'll be crushed if Brad ends things with her and moves on with Jen, but I doubt she'd be surprised."
Nothing about this narrative is remotely accurate, aside from the part about the actress visiting Cooper's home earlier this month. Just a few days later, however, Garner was seen grabbing lunch with boyfriend John Miller, who she's been dating for more than a year. Meanwhile, "Entertainment Tonight" recently reported that Cooper isn't making dating a "priority" following his split, and "is completely focused on his career and his daughter [with Shayk]."
Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who confirms there's nothing romantic going on between Cooper and Garner. The two stars have remained friends since "Alias" ended in 2006, but they're not becoming an item. The actress has a boyfriend and the actor isn't dating anyone at the moment.
There's no romance between Cooper and his A Star Is Born co-star either. Just last month, we busted Woman's Day for falsely claiming Gaga was pregnant with Cooper's baby. This latest article makes no mention of that bogus scenario. That's because the outlet seems to be making up new storylines as it goes along.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
