Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk have been in the tabloids a lot in 2019. There have been bogus rumors about Cooper being in a relationship with Lady Gaga and phony reports about who Shayk has been dating since they broke up. Gossip Cop has debunked them all, but there was one that stood out at the end of the year.
The winner for the most outrageous claim goes to the NW, which reported in March that the Cooper and Shayk secretly had a second baby through a surrogate. The ridiculous story alleged that the couple met the child when an unidentified woman was seen with a baby at their house. The tabloid took the opportunity to invent a completely bogus narrative that the woman was their surrogate, and they were meeting their own child for the first time.
The article quoted a so-called "source" as saying, "Bradley and Irina couldn't have looked happier when the baby arrived, and it went beyond what you would expect if they were just meeting a friend's child for the first time." The outlet went on to assert the couple used a surrogate so Shayk could "maintain her famous figure." Gossip Cop pointed out at the time that the story seemed suspect, as Shayk carried the couple's first child to term herself and there was no reason to believe she wouldn't do it again.
Worse for the tabloid, Cooper and Shayk split up just a few months later, confirming the breakup in June. In the days and months since, while the tabloids have speculated wildly on Cooper and Shayk's love lives since they broke up, but there hasn't been a peep about this supposed second child. After Gossip Cop checked with our own source close Cooper, who denied it was true, we concluded the story was completely made up.
It's certainly worth noting that NW has continued its poor reporting when it comes to Cooper and children. Last month, the unreliable outlet purported Lady Gaga was pregnant and Cooper was the father. That story contended Gaga had broken up with Dan Horton after he found she was pregnant with Cooper's baby.
As Gossip Cop pointed out when we debunked the story at the time, the "Born This Way" singer was in the midst of her Las Vegas residency, which is currently scheduled to last int0 the spring. Gaga even hinted just a couple of days ago that she may extend the run another year, taking it into 2021. It's just more evidence that the pregnancy rumor was false. The outlet cannot be trusted.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
