The tabloids frequently allege Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are headed for a split. Gossip Cop has debunked countless variations of this bogus narrative. Here are five wrong rumors.
Last month, Gossip Cop called out Woman's Day Australia for falsely claiming Cooper and Shayk were ending their relationship over the actor's friendship with his A Star Is Born co-star Lady Gaga. According to the magazine, the Russian supermodel was "humiliated" by her boyfriend's close bond with the singer to the point where she felt like a "third wheel" and was ready to walk out on him. Just weeks before the story emerged, however, Cooper and Shayk showed a ton of PDA at the Golden Globes, while Gaga was seated right next to them. And earlier this month, Cooper thanked Shayk during his acceptance speech at the BAFTA Awards.
Gossip Cop also called out Star in January for wrongly reporting that Cooper and Shayk were fighting over his supposed refusal to get married. The tabloid contended the model was expecting an engagement ring following the birth of their daughter in March 2017, and she was giving her boyfriend an ultimatum to marry her or break up. As we noted at the time, there are theories the couple is already engaged as the model has been spotted wearing the same emerald diamond on several occasions. We haven't been able to confirm whether or not the pair are engaged, as they keep their personal life very private, but we do know their arrangement is working. Just last week, Cooper and Shayk were spotted having a romantic dinner on Valentine's Day. There's been no battle over their marital status.
This past December, Gossip Cop corrected Life & Style after the publication speculated that Cooper and Shayk were splitting because the model didn't attend her boyfriend's honor at the American Cinematheque Awards. Shayk simply had other commitments that evening. A few days after the ceremony, Cooper supported his girlfriend at her Versace fashion show in New York City. The following week, Cooper and Shayk were spotted on outings with their daughter in both New York City and Los Angeles. And as noted above, the model later accompanied her boyfriend to the Golden Globes. Shayk has been very supportive of Cooper throughout awards season, and missing a single awards ceremony wasn't indicative of a breakup.
Back in November, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style for falsely claiming Cooper and Shayk's relationship was in trouble because she walked a red carpet without the emerald ring she often wears. The story was baseless. Just days after the outlet published its story, Cooper and Shayk enjoyed a day on the beach in Santa Monica with their daughter. After that, Cooper and Shayk celebrated Russian Mother's Day over lunch in Los Angeles. The model didn't appear to be wearing a ring during either of those occasions. A piece of jewelry doesn't signify the strength of the couple's romance.
And last October, Gossip Cop debunked an NW story about Cooper dumping Shayk for Gaga. The outlet maintained the actor's "feelings" for his co-star had "driven a wedge between him and Irina." In reality, the Star Is Born co-stars are very good friends, but their relationship is completely platonic. The tabloids have been trying to create a love triangle between the actor, his girlfriend and his co-star, but there's simply no truth to the premise. As time has proven, Cooper and Shayk are still very much together.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
