Bradley Cooper's mom has not moved into his New York City townhouse following his split from Irina Shayk, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the story. It's totally inaccurate.
A headline in the latest issue of Life & Style reads, "Bradley Moves In With Mom." The accompanying article, however, actually offers the reverse premise. A supposed insider tells the outlet that Cooper has built an "apartment" for his mom Gloria inside of his Manhattan townhouse. "Gloria's got her own floor," says the alleged source. "This way, Bradley can still have some privacy, too."
According to the unknown tipster, Cooper invited his mom to move in with him so she can help look after his two-year-old daughter Lea, whom he shares with Shayk. "Bradley enjoys having [his mom] around," adds the questionable source, "and loves that she gets to be involved in Lea's daily life."
It's worth noting, Cooper has been photographed with his daughter in New York City countless times over the past few months, but his mom hasn't been pictured accompanying them on their outings. If the actor's mom was truly living in his townhouse, it seems unlikely she wouldn't have been spotted with him and his daughter at some point. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the actor, who confirms there's "no truth" to the magazine's story.
Cooper is very close with his mother, which is likely the reason this story was concocted. In fact, Cooper did briefly live with his mom in 2011 following the death of his father. The actor explained in an interview with Details magazine that he moved in with his mom to support her and to grieve together. The two haven't set up the same arrangement following the actor's split from Shayk.
It should be noted, Life & Style has a habit of dragging Cooper's mom into a bogus story involving his split. In July, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid for wrongly alleging Cooper's mom was begging Shayk to allow her to see her granddaughter. In reality, Cooper and Shayk have remained on good terms and are co-parenting their little girl. The actor's mom isn't worried about not being able to spend time with her granddaughter.
Meanwhile, when the tabloid isn't busy focusing on Cooper's split from Shayk, it often makes up false narratives involving his A Star Is Born co-star, Lady Gaga. Just last week, Gossip Cop busted the publication for falsely claiming Cooper almost bought Gaga an engagement ring but decided to end their "romance" instead. The co-stars have never been romantically involved. The unreliable magazine simply has zero insight into any aspect of Cooper's personal life.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
