Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk did not secretly have a second baby through a surrogate, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. We've learned it's untrue.
Earlier this month, an unidentified woman was spotted carrying an infant while arriving at Cooper and Shayk's Los Angeles home. This has led NW to baselessly speculate that the woman was a surrogate dropping off the couple's secret second child. "Bradley and Irina couldn't have looked happier when the baby arrived, and it went beyond what you would expect if they were just meeting a friend's child for the first time," a supposed source tells the magazine.
The tabloid believes the actor and the Russian supermodel, who share a nearly two-year-old daughter, used a surrogate so Shayk could "maintain her famous figure." Considering that the model gave birth to their first child, this theory doesn't make much sense. Still, the alleged insider adds, "It wouldn't be a surprise if they used a surrogate, especially after [they've been watching] other celebrities who have had success through surrogacy."
The magazine's story is purely speculative and simply inaccurate. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Cooper, who wasn't able to speak on the record, but assures us the tabloid's report is "not true at all." Although we weren't able to verify the identity of the woman arriving at the actor's home, we can confirm she wasn't a surrogate delivering a newborn to the couple.
It's worth noting, Cooper has opened up about the "miracle" of fatherhood and how having a child has changed him for the better. It's likely that he and Shayk will expand their family at some point, but they simply haven't welcomed a secret second child.
Additionally, Gossip Cop busted NW back in October for falsely claiming Shayk feared Cooper was going to dump her for Lady Gaga. If that story were true, it would mean the couple's "surrogate" was several months pregnant at the time. If the model and her boyfriend were about to have a baby, that would make it even more unlikely she was concerned about him leaving her. Regardless, neither storyline is a reality.
This also isn't the first time we've had to debunk a phony story about the couple's family plans. Back in 2017, Gossip Cop busted OK! for wrongly reporting that Cooper and Shayk were fighting over having a second baby. The gossip media simply has no insight into the situation.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
