Is Brad Pitt crushing on 21-year-old Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star Sydney Sweeney? One of the blogs asserts it's likely the movie star will "start dating" the much younger actress. Gossip Cop, however, can correct this untrue claim.
According to RadarOnline, Sweeney made a huge impression on Pitt while they were working on Quentin Tarantino's upcoming movie, "but it's a lot more than her talent that's gotten him hooked." An alleged insider tells the website Pitt is eager "to do more projects with her and spend time off set to get to know her."
The supposed source further contends Pitt has kept in touch with Sweeney since the film wrapped production last year, "and it's been intensely friendly between them." The outlet's so-called "snitch" adds, "Nobody would be surprised if he asked her out on a date, even though there is that huge age difference."
The blog's premise is flat-out absurd. Just a few weeks ago, RadarOnline said Pitt was dating Charlize Theron and trying to hide their supposed romance from Angelina Jolie. This latest article makes no mention of Theron, who the actor was never romancing in the first place, as his rep told Gossip Cop and several other outlets on the record. The site appears to have trouble keeping track of its phony storylines.
Regardless, Gossip Cop ran this latest tale involving Sweeney by Pitt's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it's entirely wrong. Despite what the blog's anonymous tipster maintains, a rep qualified to speak on the actor's behalf assures us he's not "crushing" on his significantly younger co-star.
It's worth noting that this isn't the first time Gossip Cop has had to debunk a bogus story about Pitt allegedly crushing on a 21-year-old actress. In 2017, the website's sister publication, In Touch, falsely claimed Pitt was "falling for" Ella Purnell, who played the younger version of Jolie's character in Maleficent. Purnell also happens to star on the Starz series "Sweetbitter," which is produced by the actor. In reality, not only wasn't there a romance between the two, but Purnell noted on Twitter that she had actually never even met Pitt.
You may also recall how RadarOnline spent the first half of 2018 churning out story after story about Pitt's (nonexistent) romance with MIT professor Neri Oxman. Without any proof, aside from the claims of its untraceable and seemingly made-up "insiders," the site repeatedly insisted the two were a secret couple. Pitt's spokesperson dismissed the narrative every time it emerged, and eventually Oxman herself denied they ever dated. This latest article about Pitt crushing on Sweeney is similarly fabricated.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
