One of this week's tabloids claims Brad Pitt has been spoiling his six kids in an effort to win them over. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. We've learned it's fabricated.

"Brad's A Fun Dad!" reads a headline in the latest issue of OK! The accompanying article says now that the actor's custody battle with Angelina Jolie has been settled, he's trying to prove to his children that he's the cooler parent. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "He's gotten them gifts like new iPhones and infrared goggles."

The supposed source further contends that in addition to the skate park the actor built at his Los Angeles home, he's also constructing a rock-climbing gym and a water park. "He knows this flies in the face of the modesty he's tried to teach them, but Brad has no plans to stop," adds the seemingly phony tipster. "The kids are responding to it - even the tough ones, like Maddox and Pax. He hopes this will solidify his place as a cool dad and encourage all six of them to spend more time with him."

The story is flawed from the start. It was reported in 2014 that Pitt and Jolie built a skate park at their Los Angeles home back when they were still together, but there's no indication that the actor built another one at the new house where he now lives.

Regardless, the outlet's article is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable "insider," but Gossip Cop checked in with Pitt's rep, who tells us on the record that it's completely made-up. The movie star isn't attempting to buy love and affection from his kids. The claim otherwise is simply ridiculous.

It's worth noting, this isn't the first time we've had to call out OK! for pretending to have insight into what life is like for the Jolie-Pitt kids. In October, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming that the children were "trapped" like prisoners in Jolie's home, where they had no fun or freedom. The magazine has now come up with a phony story that puts the focus on Pitt's house.

It must also be mentioned, the unreliable outlet claimed last year that Pitt had moved back in with Jolie and their kids. The magazine's most recent articles about the exes make no mention of their supposed reconciliation, which obviously never happened. It's quite clear that the tabloid comes up with fictional storylines on a whim.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
