Brad Pitt is not going public with Sienna Miller because the two are not in a "romance" or even dating, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct a magazine's claim that the two are "smitten" and ready to make it "official." We're told it's all "false."
According to the Australian edition of OK!, Pitt and Miller are "getting serious" and are currently "preparing to go public." The claim appears to be tied to an article that noted Pitt is "casually dating." Of course, the report never said the actor is with Miller, so the Aussie tabloid is actually just speculating based of a number of stories last year that inaccurately alleged the two were together.
The Pitt-Miller rumors were started in April 2017 by the New York Post, which falsely contended they were "doing some serious flirting" at the Los Angeles premiere of The Lost City Of Z, which he produced and in which she starred. At the time, Pitt's rep exclusively told Gossip Cop there was "nothing to it." Days later, the newspaper reversed itself and acknowledged that Miller herself called the reports "silly" while promoting the movie in New York.
Then in June, the Sun published a totally inaccurate article titled, "Goodbye Brangelina, Hello Brienna." In its misguided story, the often discredited British tabloid wrongly maintained Pitt and Miller were spotted at the Glastonbury music festival "cuddling" and "holding hands." The paper even quoted a so-called "source" as saying, "Brad and Sienna couldn't keep their hands off each other, touching and stroking each other at every opportunity. They seemed really intimate."
It should be noted that while other publications regurgitated the paper's story, no reputable outlet corroborated the Sun's reporting. Additionally, it bears mentioning there were no photos of Pitt and Miller "holding hands" or "stroking each other," which would have been newsworthy. Regardless, a Pitt confidante assured Gossip Cop at the time that the tabloid's tale was incorrect.
Not surprisingly, a slew of American gossip magazines followed up in early July with their own unique, yet unverified takes on Miller and Pitt. OK! declared they were "hooking up, while Life & Style asserted their alleged relationship was continuing to "heat up." Star jumped into the fray with a piece about Miller "making her move" on Pitt. And Us Weekly put the two on its cover to announce Pitt and Miller were "secretly dating."
Interestingly, after the initial untrue New York Post story in April, Us Weekly ran a story with the headline, "Brad Pitt Is Not Dating Sienna Miller." Regardless of its flip-flopping, Gossip Cop checked in with a Pitt insider then who told us, "They aren't secretly dating," while a Miller pal added that the story was "false."
That brings us to now and the Australian OK! article, which quotes a source as saying uninsightfully, "Brad thinks she's gorgeous" and "she thinks he's gorgeous." The same supposed insider continues, "They're definitely into each other." "Pals say they wouldn't be surprised if this ends in wedding bells," concludes the tabloid.
Of course, just two weeks ago, that exact same magazine inaccurately maintained Pitt was spending Christmas with Angelina Jolie. Notwithstanding the tabloid's poor track record and all the evidence to the contrary over the past nine months, Gossip Cop still reached out to a Pitt insider. We're told the rumor about him dating Miller is "just as false" as it was last year.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
