Is Brad Pitt only choosing film roles shooting in California so he can be “close to home” at all times? One of this week’s new tabloids claims the actor doesn’t want to travel for work, but Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can exclusively set the record straight.

A so-called “source” tells Life & Style, “Brad is determined to spend as much time as possible with his children. He’s specifically working on movie projects based in California so he can be near them. Brad wants to make the most of every second he gets to spend with his kids.” Naturally, the actor wants to be with his children as much as possible, but the outlet’s assertion that he’s making career decisions based on his location simply isn’t true.

Gossip Cop checked in with Pitt’s camp, which exclusively assures us the outlet’s story is inaccurate. In fact, Pitt is slated to shoot World War Z 2 in England. It seems the article was fabricated because Pitt is currently shooting the upcoming sci-fi thriller Ad Astra in Santa Clarita, which isn’t too far from Los Angeles. However, the area wasn’t chosen for filming so Pitt could remain close to home. The actor has shot movies all around the world throughout his entire career, so he’s become quite accustomed to balancing his home and work life.

Unfortunately, Gossip Cop frequently has to call out Life & Style for publishing bogus reports about the actor and his family. We recently busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Pitt demanded that Angelina Jolie gives him full custody of their six kids. Shortly before that fabrication, we debunked the magazine’s phony cover story about Pitt and Jolie getting “back together again.” The unreliable tabloid obviously has very little insight into the actor’s personal life, and this latest untrue article is yet another example.
