Brad Pitt did NOT call Angelina Jolie “phony,” despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the false claim.

The story can be found in the new issue of Life & Style, which announces, “Why Brad’s Calling Angelina A Phony.” As Gossip Cop reported, Jolie did an interview about Pitt and their family as part of a BBC feature on her life and career. Now, according to the magazine, Pitt was “in disbelief” as he watched the sit-down, and it “left him furious.”

“Brad didn’t think Angie was being genuine at all. The dramatic pauses, the tears — he told his friends that he thought she was acting,” a so-called “insider” is quoted as saying. It’s alleged Pitt also took issue with Jolie’s repeated references to “family,” and her instance of saying, “my children,” before “correcting herself and saying, ‘our children.'”

But aside from the claim that Pitt supposedly thought Jolie was “acting,” the article never actually says he accused of her being a “phony,” as the story’s headline declares. In any case, Gossip Cop still investigated, and a rep for the actor exclusively tells us that all of the allegations about his reaction to Jolie’s interview are “totally false.” We were also reminded that people truly intimate with Pitt’s feelings aren’t talking to tabloids like Life & Style.

This is the same gossip outlet that tried to mislead readers in January with a cover story about Pitt “winning” custody and Jolie “handing over” the kids. That was completely false, and now the dubious publication has struck out again.
