Brad Pitt's mom, Jane Pitt, is not begging him to "get back with" Jennifer Aniston, despite a completely made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We're told it's ridiculous.
According to RadarOnline, the movie star's mom is happy about Aniston's split from Justin Theroux because she believes the actress and her son are meant to be together. An alleged insider tells the site that Jane "hasn't been disrespectful about Jen and Justin's marriage," but when she learned the two were separating, she "actively pushed Brad to get back in touch."
The outlet's questionable tipster further contends that Jane is "determined to see them back together for a second chance." But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us on the condition of anonymity that the blog's story is entirely "untrue." Pitt's mother simply isn't pressuring him to reunite with Aniston. This entire narrative is fabricated, confirms our impeccable source.
From what Gossip Cop understands and People has reported, Aniston and Pitt haven't see each other in years, despite exchanging friendly texts on occasion. And while we're told by our source that the actor has not contacted his ex-wife in the week since she announced her split, we can confirm regardless that Pitt's mom isn't campaigning for a romantic reconciliation between the two.
It should be noted, this isn't the first time that RadarOnline has falsely claimed Pitt's mom was involving herself in his personal life. Shortly after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from the actor, the blog falsely claimed that Jane called up Aniston and begged the actress to help her son "get back on his feet." We also debunked a similarly bogus report about Pitt's mom supposedly calling up Aniston to air all of her grievances about Jolie.
Meanwhile, Gossip Cop also called out the website's sister publication, the National Enquirer, for making up a phony story about Pitt's mom moving into the actor's house following his split from Jolie. We also busted a different outlet for wrongly reporting that Jane was pushing her son to "stand up" to his estranged wife amid their custody negotiations. Clearly, the tabloids enjoy dragging Pitt's mom into these fake news stories, but this latest attempt at doing so is as baseless as the rest of them.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
