Brad Pitt does not have a "crush" on Margot Robbie, despite a bogus report claiming the two are "getting super close" on the set of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the romance rumors. We're told there's no truth to them.
According to RadarOnline, the actress's husband, Tom Ackerley, is "worried" about his wife working with the movie star, and he supposedly "has reason to be." An alleged insider tells the blog, "Brad is very taken with Margot, and their chemistry is the talk of the cast." The suspicious source further contends that Pitt is "back on the hunt" following his divorce from Angelina Jolie, and Robbie has "all the qualities he loves in a girl."
The questionable tipster goes on to say that Pitt is more excited about working with Robbie "than he's been in years with a leading lady," but her husband is the only obstacle standing in the way of dating her. "This has to be hard for Tom," adds the seemingly nonexistent insider.
However, a Pitt confidante tells Gossip Cop on the condition of anonymity that the site's article is both false and "entirely predictable." The gossip media has a long history of arbitrarily linking two co-stars, and that's exactly what's happening here.
It should be noted, it's not clear if Pitt and Robbie have actually started shooting their scenes yet. The upcoming Quentin Tarantino movie only started production last week, and neither star has been photographed on set. In fact, People published an article on Monday noting that Robbie is still "preparing for her latest role." That same article also happens to feature images of the actress and her husband taking a stroll in Los Angeles with their dog over the weekend.
Regardless, even if Pitt and Robbie have been on set together, it's hard to believe they've become "super close" in the span of a week, especially when the majority of their days would have been spent working. It must also be mentioned, before RadarOnline came up with this narrative about Pitt crushing on his co-star, the blog spent months falsely claiming he was dating MIT professor Neri Oxman.
Just a few weeks ago, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for falsely claiming that Pitt was introducing Oxman to his kids. The article also described the professor as Pitt's "girlfriend" and said he's "absolutely in love" with her. This latest report involving Robbie fails to mention what happened to that supposed relationship. It seems the unreliable site just changes narratives whenever it's convenient to do so.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
