Brad Pitt did not admit Jennifer Aniston is the "love of his life." This is a recycled and misleadingly packaged allegation that was already debunked earlier this month. Gossip Cop can explain what's going on.
CafeMom writes, "Rumors are surfacing that Jennifer Aniston is reportedly helping Brad Pitt during his divorce to Angelina Jolie that's likely welcomed emotional support amid speculation the dad of six has an uphill battle to spend more time with his kids." The site refers to a purported Life & Style "source," who is quoted as saying, "Brad's conversations with Jen have helped him negotiate his new life as he's getting divorced. He feels a deep connection with her."
Again supposedly quoting from Life & Style, the outlet asserts the "source" maintained, "He's come to realize that leaving Jen for Angelina was one of the biggest mistakes of his life. And while he's not in love with Jen, he realizes how much he does love her. Brad keeps telling friends that he's seeing everything more clearly... They have reached a level of closeness and understanding that they never had when they were married. He still considers Jen the love of his life."
But these quotes, which were 100 percent manufactured, did not originate with Life & Style. They actually come from an In Touch cover story from two weeks ago. As Gossip Cop reported, the tabloid falsely claimed Pitt wanted a "second chance at love" with Aniston and she was happy to reconnect. The actress' rep, however, told Gossip Cop it was all a "fabrication," while a Pitt contact also deemed the article "false." Despite the debunking, In Touch's sister magazine Life & Style regurgitated the untrue allegations on its website last week, crediting its fellow magazine.
And now we have CafeMom this week not only spreading something that was already shot down, but also failing to even accurately recognize where the made-up contentions even came from. Had the site spent just a little bit of time researching, investigating and fact-checking, it would've been easy to discover the origins of the claims and that they are not actually true.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
