Brad Pitt isn't going to be the best man at Leonardo DiCaprio's "shotgun wedding" to Camila Morrone, despite a made-up tabloid report. DiCaprio's girlfriend isn't pregnant and he's not headed down the aisle with her. Gossip Cop can debunk the fabricated premise.
According to NW, not only is DiCaprio set to wed his girlfriend of nearly two years, but she's also expecting his baby. An alleged "insider" tells the magazine that they've only spilled the news to family and a few close friends, including the actor's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star, Pitt. This begs the question, which one of DiCaprio's closest confidantes leaked the news to an Australian tabloid?
The supposed source goes on to say that Pitt has "become like an older brother" to DiCaprio since working together on their new movie, and "he was one of the first people Leo called" after popping the question to Morrone. From there, the questionable tipster says DiCaprio is in the midst of planning a "dream storybook wedding," which will see Pitt serving as his best man.
The tabloid's phony article is based on a number of claims that Gossip Cop has already corrected. Just last week, we busted OK! for concocting a similar story about Pitt helping DiCaprio propose to his girlfriend. In that article, the Fight Club star was said to be planning his pal's bachelor party. A source close to DiCaprio assured us the actor hadn't gotten engaged, while an individual in Pitt's camp similarly confirmed the narrative was false.
In late July, NW wrongly reported that DiCaprio's girlfriend was pregnant with his child. The tabloid hid behind an anonymous "insider" to back up the claim, but the actor's spokesperson told Gossip Cop on the record that Morrone wasn't expecting. Nothing has changed in the short time since.
This latest article combines both untrue storylines into a new one about Pitt being involved in DiCaprio's wedding, all amid a pregnancy. Nothing about the narrative is remotely accurate. It should be noted, NW is the same magazine that Gossip Cop busted last November for falsely claiming DiCaprio was dating Jennifer Aniston after getting introduced to her by Pitt.
At the time that ridiculous report was published, DiCaprio had been dating Morrone for nearly a year. Considering the magazine wasn't aware of the couple's relationship back in November, it's safe to say the outlet has zero insight into anything regarding the possibility of them getting married or having a baby. Simply put, Pitt won't be serving as the best man at DiCaprio's imaginary "shotgun wedding."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
