Brad Pitt did not help Leonardo DiCaprio propose to his girlfriend, Camila Morrone, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can confirm that DiCaprio hasn't gotten engaged. The actor's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star didn't play a role in an imaginary proposal.
According to OK!, however, DiCaprio "recently asked Camila to marry him, and she said yes immediately." The unreliable outlet doesn't bother to mention exactly when or where the proposal took place, but insists that Pitt played an integral part in making it happen. A supposed source says that prior to popping the question, DiCaprio called his co-star for advice.
"Brad gave Leo tips on how to pop the question in a romantic fashion without coming across too cheesy," says the alleged insider. "Brad's becoming like an older brother to him. You can bet he's going to be front and center on their wedding day."
The questionable tipster goes on to say that Pitt is also helping plan DiCaprio's bachelor party, which will be a low-key celebration "that doesn't revolve around boozing." Pitt, who's been sober for more than two years, is said to have "opened Leo's eyes to a whole new world that's focused on art, culture, and personal growth. Brad has told Leo things that have changed him forever, like the importance of finding happiness in the non-superficial pleasures of life."
Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to DiCaprio, who wasn't able to speak on the record, but tells us that he and Morrone haven't gotten engaged. An individual in Pitt's camp confirms that the actor hasn't assisted his co-star in proposing or planning a bachelor party. The magazine's phony story seems to have been written to capitalize on the buzz surrounding the recent release of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The publication has zero insight into the friendship between the co-stars.
It should be noted, Gossip Cop had to call out OK! last October for falsely claiming Pitt and DiCaprio were feuding on the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. At the time, the tabloid said Pitt was so jealous of his co-star that he wouldn't talk to him when they weren't shooting. The outlet's latest story about the the two stars is totally contradictory and makes no mention of them ever having feuded.
This also isn't the first time OK! has been wrong about a story involving wedding bells for one of the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood stars. In May, the tabloid incorrectly reported that Pitt had proposed to his ex-wife Jennifer Anniston after a "romantic dinner" at the actress's house. Pitt and Aniston aren't back together at all. This latest story from the magazine is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
