Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie‘s upcoming movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has been the subject of many false tabloid stories. Gossip Cop has debunked several bogus articles about what allegedly went down on the set of the Quentin Tarantino film. Here are five wrong rumors.
Gossip Cop busted OK! last October for falsely claiming Pitt and DiCaprio were feuding on the set of the movie. The tabloid alleged that Pitt felt “threatened” by his co-star, who “steals every single scene and leaves Brad feeling annoyed.” The magazine further contended that the two have nothing in common and don’t speak when they’re not shooting. Not only did Pitt’s spokesperson dismiss the story as nonsense, but around the same time, photos emerged of the two stars sharing a laugh during a break from filming.
Last September, Gossip Cop called out OK! Australia for making up a story about Robbie’s husband, Tom Ackerley, being worried about her chemistry with Pitt on the set of their film. The magazine maintained that Ackerley was showing up on set to send a message to the actor that he better “steer clear” of his wife. According to the outlet, the assistant director also forbid Robbie from hanging out with her co-star when they weren’t filming. Shortly after we debunked the phony report, Robbie noted in an interview with Porter magazine that she was “barely on set” with Pitt and the two don’t have many scenes together in Tarantino’s new project.
Also last September, Gossip Cop debunked a Woman’s Day Australia story about DiCaprio pursuing Robbie on the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The claim was bogus. The two stars have been friendly since working together on The Wolf of Wall Street several years ago, and the actress has previously described her co-star as “a wonderful big brother.” More importantly, DiCaprio has been in a relationship with model Camila Morrone since late 2017.
Gossip Cop busted Life & Style last July for alleging that DiCaprio called out Pitt for flirting with Robbie on set. The first problem with the phony story was that Robbie’s first day of filming on the movie had taken place just one day prior to the article being published. A rep for Pitt also confirmed that he hadn’t started working with the actress yet. And as noted above, the actress would later reveal that she didn’t spend much time on set with the two leading men.
And last April, prior to the start of production on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Gossip Cop busted NW for falsely claiming Robbie’s husband refused to let her join the movie because he didn’t want her working alongside Pitt and DiCaprio. The article emerged when the actress was still only in talks for the film, but it turned out to be baseless. A source close to Robbie had assured us at the time that her husband is “very supportive” of her career, and a few weeks later, she officially signed on to join the cast of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
