Are Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio feuding on the set of their upcoming movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? That’s the claim in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk the alleged drama.
“Brad vs. Leo: It’s War!” reads a headline in the latest issue of OK! The accompanying article says the two stars aren’t hitting it off while shooting their new film. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “The perception is that Brad’s enjoying himself and has this deep friendship with Leo, but the truth is, they don’t get along very well at all. They’ve always had an intense professional rivalry and don’t actually have much in common.”
The outlet’s questionable source further claims that jealousy is to blame for the supposed rift between the actors. “Brad probably doesn’t want to admit it, but I think he’s a little threatened by Leo,” says the suspicious tipster. “Leo steals every single scene and leaves Brad feeling annoyed. They go their separate ways as soon as director Quentin Tarantino yells, ‘Cut!'”
The tabloid’s story is based on claims from an unidentified and untraceable “source,” but Pitt’s own rep is going on the record to dismiss it. A spokesperson qualified to speak on the actor’s behalf says there are no issues between him and his co-star. This is simply a case of a tabloid trying to create a feud between two big movie stars working together for the first time. It’s completely baseless.
In fact, recent photos from the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood show Pitt and DiCaprio sharing a laugh during a break from shooting. The Daily Mail, which posted the images online, even noted “the mood seemed jovial” on set. It’s clear the tabloid is just trying to create nonexistent behind-the-scenes drama.
Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had to debunk a bogus story about the co-stars. In August, Gossip Cop busted OK!‘s sister outlet, Star, for falsely claiming that DiCaprio was setting Pitt up with models. That report wasn’t true either, but it shows how the magazine and its related publications can’t keep their narratives straight. How exactly did DiCaprio go from helping his co-star find dates to fighting with him?
Meanwhile, Gossip Cop called out Life & Style in July for falsely claiming that DiCaprio told Pitt to stop “flirting” with Margot Robbie on the set of the movie. It’s clear the gossip media just enjoys fabricating stories surrounding the highly-anticipated film. This latest article is more lies.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
