Brad Pitt never told Kate Hudson that he wasn’t interested in dating her, despite a fake news story. Gossip Cop can set the record straight.

As you may recall, rumors emerged shortly after the actor’s split from Angelina Jolie last year that he was hooking up with Hudson. These stories were entirely false, but the National Enquirer is now claiming that Pitt had turned down the actress’s advances. A supposed “source” tells the magazine that Hudson had been “texting him a lot” and “suggesting they get together and have coffee at her house or just hang out.”

The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to purport that Pitt kept declining the actress’s offers, but when she wouldn’t stop contacting him, the actor finally called Hudson and said he “doesn’t want to date anyone right now and he’s worried that a public romance will affect his custody arrangement with his six kids.” The “source” further alleges that the actress “was fuming” and baffled by his response.

The Enquirer, however, seems to have quite a short-term memory, because it claimed back in early December that Pitt and Hudson were dating. Later that month, the repeatedly discredited outlet reported that Hudson was pregnant with Pitt’s baby. Both of those fake news stories were concocted after the magazine’s sister publication, Star, initially created a phony narrative about Pitt and Hudson being a couple.

But now, the Enquirer is pretending that its old allegations never existed, and has crafted another bogus story about the actor supposedly rejecting Hudson. Gossip Cop, however, is assured by separate sources close to both Pitt and Hudson that this latest report is as untrue as the rest of them.
