Is Brad Pitt‘s 13-year-old daughter Shiloh upset about him attending Kanye West‘s church services? That’s the ridiculous premise in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop can confirm there’s no truth to it.
Last week, Pitt was spotted at West’s weekly Sunday Service in Los Angeles, prompting New Idea to invent a fake story out of the situation. According to the outlet, the movie star went to the service to “find solace” amid his divorce and custody battle with Angelina Jolie.
An alleged insider tells the magazine that Shiloh later reached out to her dad and urged him to seek professional help rather than going to West’s church service. The supposed tipster goes on to say that the teenage girl believes the rapper’s gathering is a “celebrity cult” and she doesn’t believe her dad will benefit from it. The unknown source further contends that Shiloh has been living with Pitt “so she can keep a close eye on him.”
“She’s refusing to move back with the rest of her siblings until her mom holds out an olive branch to Brad and starts making a bigger effort to include him in their lives,” adds the seemingly phony insider. Gossip Cop, however, already busted NW in July for wrongly reporting that Shiloh had “ditched” Jolie to live with Pitt. The young girl lives with her mom full-time and is frequently spotted out and about with her.
New Idea doesn’t have any more insight into how Shiloh feels about her dad going to West’s church. Gossip Cop reached out to Pitt’s spokesperson, who tells us in no uncertain terms that the magazine’s article is “definitely not true.” The young girl simply hasn’t been urging her father to stay away from the rapper’s spiritual gathering.
In reality, the magazine saw an opportunity to drag one of Pitt’s children into the narrative after he attended West’s Sunday Service. Gossip Cop called out the publication last year for falsely claiming Pitt brought Shiloh on an “Italian getaway” with him and Jennifer Aniston. Pitt and Aniston aren’t back together, and the actor never brought his daughter on an imaginary vacation with his ex-wife.
Also last year, Gossip Cop debunked the outlet’s story about Aniston bonding with Shiloh while rekindling a romance with Pitt. Not only does the magazine make up stories about the actor’s personal life, but it often ropes his daughter into these fabricated reports. This latest one surrounding West’s church is more nonsense.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
