Jennifer Aniston is planning a “tell-all” interview about her marriage to Brad Pitt, who’s worried about it jeopardizing his divorce settlement with Angelina Jolie, claims a new tabloid report. Nothing about the story, however, is true. Gossip Cop can correct the report, which we’ve been told is false.
According to Heat, Aniston is preparing to open up about Pitt while promoting her upcoming Apple series “The Morning Show,” and her ex-husband is nervous about what she might say. “Jen knows anything Brad-related is going to create a lot of drama and headlines,” says a supposed source, adding that Aniston is eager to build buzz for her new TV show.
“She’s being paid $1 million per episode, and she and [co-star Reese Witherspoon] are executive producers, so she wants it to be a massive success,” adds the alleged insider. “She knows that finally talking properly about Brad will help that happen.”
The unnamed tipster goes on to say that Pitt is concerned about Aniston’s “interview” negatively impacting his divorce settlement, especially if she talks about their rekindled friendship. “Brad is worried about Jen going off on how great things are between them, because he knows it’s going to infuriate Angelina,” says the anonymous source. “Their divorce settlement is not finalized, and Brad is hesitant about upsetting Angie before they sort out their finances.”
The seemingly phony insider further contends that Aniston “has assured Brad that she’s not going to say anything too inflammatory,” but she also “wants the world to know how lovely it is to be back in Brad’s life.” The so-called “source” concludes, “She’d also be lying if she said she didn’t want to rub Angelina’s nose in it all.”
The magazine’s premise is a total work of fiction. Gossip Cop checked in with Aniston’s spokesperson, who calls the report “nonsense.” The actress’s rep tells us on the record that she’s not planning to talk about Pitt during her promotional tour for “The Morning Show.” It’s worth noting, the Apple series doesn’t premiere until the fall so this entire storyline is premature, in addition to being untrue. We also reached out to a mutual pal of ours and Pitt, who tells us the tabloid’s article is “completely false.”
Additionally, Heat has a habit of coming up with bogus narratives involving imaginary “tell-alls.” Last year, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Jolie was “plotting revenge” against Pitt with a series of TV interviews in which she’d take digs at his parenting skills. That never happened.
Also last year, Gossip Cop called out the publication for making up a story about Pitt asking Aniston to meet his six kids. Although the report wasn’t true, one would think that scenario would impact his divorce settlement more than an interview with the actress. More recently, we debunked the tabloid’s article alleging Pitt was furious about Jolie’s (nonexistent) plans to adopt another child.
The outlet’s articles about all three stars have more in common with fan fiction and soap operas than they do with journalism. Aniston won’t be giving any interviews that could put Pitt’s divorce settlement in jeopardy. The claim otherwise is baseless.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
