Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston did not secretly get married at her Christmas party, despite a ludicrous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct the story. There's zero truth to it.
New Idea is speculating that Aniston's recent Christmas party, attended by Pitt and other A-lists guests, doubled as a secret wedding ceremony for her and Pitt. The theory is only emerging because the actress's 2015 wedding to Justin Theroux was initially disguised as his birthday party. "Brad's attendance at the party had tongues wagging that history could be repeating itself," an unknown source tells the outlet, "and having her friends gather together could be the perfect moment to make her and Brad's reunion official."
The anonymous source goes on to say that Aniston has "made no secret of wanting to re-marry Brad and knows this would have been the perfect opportunity to do it in secret." The alleged tipster concludes, "All Jen wants is to be Mrs. Pitt again and to start the new year off as his wife. The Christmas party would have been the perfect disguise to make her dream happen with the utmost privacy and discretion."
The only accurate aspect of the tabloid's article is that Pitt attended Aniston's Christmas party. The ex-spouses aren't back together, and certainly didn't tie the knot at the holiday gathering. Separate spokespeople for both stars confirm they haven't rekindled a romance. The tabloid's unidentified "source" is just throwing out a whole lot of guesses with little proof or logic to back them up.
Meanwhile, Pitt told the New York Times earlier this month that none of the dating rumors surrounding him are true. Those include the ones involving Aniston. It must be mentioned, New Idea reported in February that Aniston and Pitt had secretly gotten married at her 50th birthday party. That article featured an identical premise about the party doubling as a wedding ceremony. The bogus storyline didn't pan out back then, so now the tabloid is recycling it in time for the holidays.
However, Gossip Cop should also note that New Idea is all over the place when it comes to its phony reporting. In October, we busted the magazine for making up a story about Aniston dating Friends co-star David Schwimmer. So, in the fantasy world of the tabloid: Aniston married Pitt at her 50th birthday party, then started dating Schwimmer, and then married Pitt again at her Christmas party.
Meanwhile, In Touch claimed last week that Pitt and Aniston announced they were back together at her Christmas party. That didn't happen either, but this latest take on the subject is escalating things quite a bit. It's more nonsense.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
