Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are going public with their so-called "romance" at the Golden Globes? That's what one of the tabloids is claiming. As Gossip Cop has stressed several times, the ex-spouses aren't back together.
According to Life & Style, Pitt and Aniston have rekindled their romance and they're ready to share it with the world at next month's Golden Globes. "It's the perfect opportunity," says an alleged source, noting that both stars are nominated this year for their roles in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and The Morning Show. "Brad and Jen are done hiding - and their side-by-side appearance at the awards show is all anyone can talk about. It's like it's meant to be!"
The unknown insider says it's unlikely the exes will walk the red carpet together because "it's bound to be complete chaos," but they're considering presenting an award together. "No matter what, all eyes will be on Jen and Brad," adds the anonymous tipster. "The more time that passes, the closer and closer they seem to be getting. The sparks are most definitely still there, and they've talked through their issues."
The seemingly phony source concludes, "Now that the past is behind them, Brad and Jen are excited to create new memories as a couple. Jen's giddy with anticipation!"
The magazine seems to have invented this story because Pitt attended Aniston's Christmas party earlier this month. The ex-spouses are friendly again, but they're not back together. Despite what the outlet's unidentified insider claims, spokespeople for both stars confirm they're just pals. Pitt and Aniston will both be attending the Golden Globes in January, but they're not showing up as a couple. Both will be on hand thanks to their separate nominations.
Gossip Cop would also like to ask Life & Style what happened to Pitt's supposed romance with Alia Shawkat? Less than two weeks ago, the tabloid falsely claimed Pitt had introduced Shawkat to his kids with Angelina Jolie, who was furious about it. Shortly before that, the outlet said Pitt was worried about Shawkat handling the scrutiny of dating him. This latest article makes no mention of that bogus narrative. Instead, it says the actor has been rekindling his romance with Aniston for several months. Neither scenario is a reality.
In November, just before the phony saga involving Shawkat, Life & Style wrongly reported that Pitt and Aniston were having a baby together. There's no mention of a child in this latest piece. The magazine's reports are all over the place. That's because the tabloid has trouble keeping track of the fiction it creates.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
