Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston co-starring on the big screen for the first time? That’s the plan according to a new tabloid cover story, which alleges the exes are teaming up for a movie to get “revenge” on Angelina Jolie. Gossip Cop, however, has the exclusive truth about the situation.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Pitt will produce and star in the upcoming sci-fi thriller, Ad Astra, playing a space engineer who travels across the galaxy to find his father. In Touch is now purporting the actor has cast Aniston in the lead female role originally meant for Jolie to get “the ultimate revenge” on his estranged second wife. A supposed insider tells the magazine that Aniston also “loves the idea of sticking it to Angelina,” so she jumped at the opportunity to join the project.
“There’s no other woman who gets under Angie’s skin like Jen,” adds the outlet’s dubious source, who further claims Jolie holds a grudge over being “portrayed as a home-wrecker while Jen was seen as America’s sweetheart.” The “insider” goes on to maintain that Jolie “doesn’t think much of Jen’s acting” either, which makes losing the role to her all the more devastating.
The tabloid’s seemingly phony source adds, “Jen’s all charged up over the idea of acting with Brad,” and she’s willing to put aside their past issues because “stepping into Angie’s shoes” is the “sweetest revenge.” But Gossip Cop looked into the story, and we’ve found that nearly every detail in the tabloid’s cover story is either wrong or made up.
Here’s what’s true: Brad Pitt will be starring in a sci-fi movie titled Ad Astra. And that’s about it. An Aniston pal tells Gossip Cop she’s 100 percent not co-starring in the film, and a source close to Jolie assures us she was never attached to the project either. Gossip Cop also checked in with a rep for Pitt, who exclusively confirms the tabloid’s tale is “complete and total nonsense on every possible level in every possible way.” The actor’s career isn’t motivated by “revenge,” nor is Aniston’s, and the assertion otherwise is beyond absurd.
In fact, Gossip Cop previously busted a manufactured In Touch report that outlandishly claimed Aniston and Jolie were co-starring in a movie. Obviously, no such film ever materialized. We also debunked the publication’s concocted cover story about Pitt and Aniston reuniting. The tabloid’s latest attempt at creating a nonexistent love triangle between the stars is equally baseless.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
