Are Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston meeting up in London? That's the premise of a new tabloid story. But Gossip Cop can confirm it isn't true.
"Why Brad And Jen Rekindled Their Friendship," reads a headline in the new issue of Grazia. According to the article, Aniston is "finally moving on" from Justin Theroux in part due to a "rekindled friendship with a very famous ex." It's alleged she and Pitt are "back on speaking terms," and "plan to meet up in London."
Why there? Contends the magazine, "Jen's new Netflix project, Murder Mystery, brings her to the city, meanwhile Brad is in the UK visiting his children while Angelina [Jolie] is filming." A so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "The plan is to meet for dinner, but the last thing they want is any speculation of a reunion." Of course, speculation is guaranteed to follow if they were to meet up, which is why this narrative is a bit far-fetched.
As for this supposedly "rekindled friendship," the untraceable snitch alleges, "Brad and Jen have been in touch sporadically over the years, but a lot more consistently since she split from Justin." It's claimed Pitt "reached out to her earlier this year to express his sympathy after the Justin split." Actually, People reported after her breakup with Theroux that a reunion between Aniston and Pitt is unlikely, specifically noting that they "aren't in regular contact."
There is no evidence they're talking any more now than in past years, and E! Online also reported in regards to Aniston moving on with her life, "Rekindling [with Pitt] is not even a conversation." As for going abroad, Netflix did announce that Murder Mystery will "film in locations throughout Europe," in addition to Montreal, but did not specifically name London as a setting.
Also, Pitt isn't currently in the UK. On Monday, Pitt was photographed on the set of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood in Los Angeles. He's due to spend the next few weeks in California, with his summer custody agreement with Jolie calling for him to have the kids there from July 21 to July 29. Apparently Grazia and its unidentifiable "source" don't realize this.
What's also curious about this tale is that it doesn't say anything about Aniston having a "romance" blossoming with Will Arnett, which is what this same tabloid maintained in April. It seems the magazine's purported insight is no better now than it was then. Aniston and Pitt haven't crossed paths in years, and Gossip Cop is told on background that they still have no plans to do so. A rep for Pitt also confirms on the record that the story is "false."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
