Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are not getting married again, nor are the ex-spouses back together at all. Over the past several months, however, there have been many false tabloid stories about the exes tying the knot. Here are just a few of those articles that Gossip Cop has debunked.

Back in February, Gossip Cop busted New Idea for making up an absurd story about Pitt and Aniston getting married at her 50th birthday party. Although the actor did attend his ex-wife's big bash, the two most certainly didn't get married during it. According to the outlet, however, the birthday party doubled as a secret wedding ceremony. Aniston's own rep told us on the record that the story was "fabricated." Meanwhile, trusted outlets such as People magazine and Entertainment Tonight noted that Pitt didn't stay at his ex-wife's party for very long, and while they had a friendly chat during the event, the actress spent the night making the rounds and talking to all of her guests.

In March, Gossip Cop called out the Globe for falsely claiming Pitt and Aniston secretly eloped in Mexico. The outlet maintained that the exes met up in Cabo shortly following her 50th birthday, and had a "quickie commitment ceremony." The magazine even contended that Angelina Jolie had caught wind of the news and was "furious" about it. The only accurate aspect of the story was that Aniston traveled to Mexico following her birthday party. A spokesperson for the actress assured us that Pitt didn't go with her.

Gossip Cop busted New Idea in April for wrongly reporting Pitt and Aniston were getting married again after a judge declared him legally single. A judge did in fact grant Pitt and Jolie a dissolution of their status as a married couple, but Aniston had nothing to do with the equation. Still, an alleged insider told the magazine the ex-spouses sent out "save the dates" to all their close family and friends. Separate reps for both stars dismissed the storyline as nonsense. And as we noted at the time, New Idea didn't bother to address its previous claims about the exes getting married at Aniston's birthday party.

This past May, Gossip Cop debunked an OK! cover story about Pitt proposing to Aniston during a romantic dinner at her house. The publication further insisted that the exes were planning a future together, including house-hunting in Beverly Hills and holding a "simple" wedding at one of their homes. Around the same time this article merged, Pitt laughed off rumors of a reunion with Aniston after the question was posed by a photographer. That same month, the actress said in an interview that she was single and too busy to date. Aniston reiterated that sentiment on the Howard Stern Show less than a month ago. Far from getting married again, Pitt and Aniston haven't rekindled their romance in any capacity.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
