A new report claiming Jimmy Kimmel is arranging a reunion between Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston on his late night talk show is completely fabricated. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story.
"Brad & Jen Back Together! Pitt & Aniston To Meet Up In TV Tell-All" blares a new RadarOnline headline. The accompanying article claims Kimmel wants the ex-spouses to sit down for a joint interview on his show and there's a "pretty good" chance he can orchestrate it. A supposed "source" tells the site the late night host recently set the alleged plan in motion when he "sent a message to Brad that he's a welcome presence at the show, even just to hang out in the bar area backstage and schmooze."
The outlet's dubious insider continues, "Brad is a priority for Jimmy. He wants his show to be Brad's first stop from now on." The "source" further contends that the timing for a reunion is perfect now that Pitt's "free of" Angelina Jolie, adding, "Jimmy thinks he can make this happen. He's really tight with Jen and she trusts him."
Gossip Cop, however, can set the record straight. An ABC insider exclusively assures us Kimmel isn't setting up a TV reunion between Pitt and Aniston, and the webloid's claim otherwise is simply "false." A source close to the actor also tells us no one from the talk show has approached him with such a proposal. In the time since Pitt split from Jolie, RadarOnline has published a number of bogus stories surrounding the status of his relationship with Aniston, so this latest fabrication comes as no surprise.
Gossip Cop recently busted the site for falsely claiming Pitt's mom Jane begged Aniston to call her son and help him get "back on his feet." Shortly before that tall tale, we called out the webloid for wrongly reporting Aniston was helping Pitt with his career. There was no truth to either of those articles, and this latest one about a supposed "Jimmy Kimmel Live" reunion is equally phony.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
