A new story detailing why Jennifer Aniston "will always be" Brad Pitt's "greatest love" is completely made-up. The article is based on a number of false tabloid stories that Gossip Cop has already debunked. It's just a weak attempt at capitalizing on the ex-spouse's history.
According to Celebrity Insider, Pitt and Aniston's "love story isn't over yet," despite the two having split more than a decade ago. The unreliable blog says that he and Aniston are "giving their romance a second shot" after reconnecting over the past year. "Although she is still married to actor Justin Theroux, Aniston hasn't forgotten about Pitt and relies on him for support," adds the frequently discredited outlet.
The site spews more nonsense about Aniston and Theroux being "on the rocks" and leading "separate lives," before claiming that Pitt is still "holding out hope" for him and his ex-wife to "eventually find their way back to each other and exchange vows a second time." But this tired narrative, which keeps getting recycled by disreputable outlets, has been thrown together based on phony information featured in old tabloid stories.
A portion of the site's bogus article was taken from last week's cover of In Touch, which wrongly reported that Pitt had asked Aniston to marry him again. Reps for both stars assured us that report was complete nonsense. Another part of Celebrity Insider's story comes from a December In Touch article falsely contending that Pitt was giving Aniston "a shoulder to cry on" amid her alleged marital problems.
Meanwhile, another section of the webloid's latest article was taken from a November Life & Style story that wrongly stated Pitt "still considers Jen the love of his life." Basically, the untrustworthy blog borrowed untrue element from old stories that Gossip Cop already corrected, then used those spare parts to concoct this new Frankenstein monster of an article.
For starters, Pitt's relationship with Angelina Jolie lasted significantly longer than his first marriage, and he shares six children with the actress, so the assertion that Aniston is his "greatest love" doesn't seem likely. Regardless, Gossip Cop can confirm that Pitt and Aniston's "love story" is very much over.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
