An article asserting Brad Pitt "fears falling in love again" in the wake of his divorce from Angelina Jolie was made up by a certain webloid. Gossip Cop is assured no one close to the actor is talking about his personal life, especially with this particular site.

Yes, we're talking about HollywoodLife, which has published dozens upon dozens of manufactured stories in the nearly 12 months since Pitt and Jolie separated. Among those false reports were untrue reconciliation claims, plus blatantly fabricated pieces using obvious information. For instance, earlier this month there was a post in which the outlet claimed it "exclusively" learned Pitt is missing his kids while he films his new movie. Well, duh. All actors miss their children in such situations.

As it turns out, that film, Ad Astra, is also partially the inspiration for this latest made-up tale, which is headlined, "Brad Pitt 'Fears Falling In Love Again' After Angelina Jolie Divorce: Keeping It 'Casual' With Co-Star." Picking up an inaccurate RadarOnline article that wrongly claimed a romance is brewing between Pitt and Ruth Negga, the webloid contends, "He certainly has a crush on Ruth, but that's as far as anything will go right now." A so-called "source close to Brad" is quoted as explaining, "Brad fears falling in love again after suffering from a broken heart with Angelina."

Continuing in unnatural language, such as saying the names "Brad" and "Ruth" over and over again, the site's supposed source alleges, "Brad has great chemistry with his co-star, Ruth, but he is cautiously keeping things between them light and casual. Brad is keeping it light and friendly with Ruth, as he has with any other women he meets these days. He may have a crush on the beautiful co-star, but he will not be falling in love again anytime soon."

Tellingly, the online publication fails to mention that Negga has been in a committed relationship with Dominic Cooper since 2010. Instead, it implies the possibility of a romance with Pitt, even if he's supposedly keeping their dynamic "light and casual" right now. The truth is much more simple. The webloid only crafted this piece because of the (erroneous) RadarOnline report, which was only concocted because the pair is currently working together. But Negga has absolutely nothing to do with Pitt's love life. Furthermore, even if he did have a "crush" on the Oscar nominee, no one legitimately in his inner circle would ever spill such information to HollywoodLies. The outlet earned that nickname for its habit of spinning false narratives. That's exactly what's going on here.
