Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron are not in a "secret romance," despite a late and wrong report based on claims that Gossip Cop already debunked. We can once again set the record straight. We've learned the movie stars aren't a couple.
Last week, Star published a bogus story claiming Pitt and Theron have been secretly dating for the past year. The magazine contended that the two have been traveling around the globe meeting for "secret hookups" at luxury hotels in London, Paris and Beverly Hills. The premise came from an anonymous "insider," but Pitt's rep told Gossip Cop on the record that it wasn't true. Additionally, the two haven't been spotted together and no other outlet in the world reported they've been seeing each other. That was until OK! Australia decided to recycle the false narrative.
The cover of this week's magazine reads, "Brad & Charlize: 'Yes! We're On!'" After regurgitating the bogus claims about the pair meeting up in exotic locations, the outlet quotes its own alleged "insider" as saying, "They have lots of sexual chemistry and they're both so damn hot! They both love having a good laugh, working out and reading. It's a very passionate romance!"
The publication goes on to say that Pitt won't go public with the supposed relationship because he doesn't want to ruffle any feathers amid his custody battle with Angelina Jolie. Star conveniently said the same thing, so now neither tabloid has to explain why there's zero indication the two are dating. From there, the Australian outlet repeats the claims about Pitt and Theron bonding over having adopted children and their love of the arts.
Once again, Pitt's spokesperson already dismissed this whole storyline as nonsense. The premise is also filled with holes, as we pointed out in our previous bust. Theron said in April that she was single and had no interest in dating. The actress even noted that dating "feels like more work than something I would really enjoy." The idea that she's been in a relationship with Pitt for a full year simply doesn't pan out.
It's worth mentioning, the unreliable tabloid doesn't seem concerned with keeping its false stories consistent. Just last month, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for wrongly reporting that Pitt was taking a "second chance at love" with Jennifer Aniston. This latest article now says he's spent the past year dating Theron. So which one is it? It's neither.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
