Is Brad Pitt hiding his "romance" with Charlize Theron from Angelina Jolie? That's the new claim from a website which has repeatedly published inaccurate stories about the three movies stars. As Gossip Cop has previously reported and now confirms on the record, not only aren't Theron and Pitt dating, but they haven even laid eyes on eyes other in months.
Still, according to a new tale from RadarOnline, Pitt is "desperate" to have his (nonexistent) relationship with Theron kept "quiet" until he finalizes his divorce from Jolie because he's reportedly "terrified" of his estranged wife's "wrath." After falsely asserting Theron and Pitt were "caught getting cozy" at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on January 12, the blog's so-called "source" is quoted as saying the two are doing everything they can to keep their "romance" hush-hush to "avoid drama with Angie."
The site then shifts narratives and alleges the two Oscar-winning actresses supposedly have "bad blood" over their charity work. Its unnamed and untraceable "source" notes how Theron is a "Messenger of Peace for the United Nations," while Jolie is a U.N. Special Envoy. Basically, the often discredited outlet is insinuating that, while both women are philanthropic and humanitarians, they're actually hate-filled people when it comes to one another.
Not only does that defy logic, but it's also hard to comprehend what the blog is trying to get at with its main premise about Pitt being "terrified" of Jolie's "wrath." What exactly are they implying she could or would do if Pitt were actually dating Theron? Right now, the divorce is a matter of financials and nothing in his or Jolie's dating lives would affect that.
What also doesn't make sense is how, as the blog claims, Pitt and Theron allegedly got "caught getting cozy" in L.A. on January 12, and no legitimate outlet wrote a single word about it for a full eight days. Also, isn't it odd the story was first written by the British tabloid The Sun, and not any of the U.S.-based celebrity magazines or websites? And, of course, there are absolutely no pictures of them together at or even separately leaving the hotel, which is always swarmed by paparazzi.
As Gossip Cop reported, Pitt and Theron are still not dating, despite this false rumor popping up over and over again. We busted the blog's sister publication Star back in October when it wrongly contended they were hiding a romance also out of fear of how Jolie would react. But as opposed to RadarOnline's article, which is predicated on a nameless and seemingly made-up source and no proof whatsoever, Pitt's own rep, speaking on the actor's behalf, told Gossip Cop it wasn't true then that Pitt and Theron were dating, and it's not true now. His spokesman again reiterated talk of Pitt and Theron dating is "false," adding the actor "hasn't seen her in months" since shooting a decidedly platonic Breitling watch ad together.
Remember, this is all coming from the same blog that falsely maintained Pitt was dating spiritual healer Sat Hari Khalsa. It also absurdly insisted Pitt was in a "secret relationship" with his ex-fiancee Gwyneth Paltrow. And the outlet swore up and down last March that Pitt was "onboard" to be Jennifer Aniston's "baby daddy."
Additionally, the site posted a slew of fictitious articles about Pitt dating Neri Oxman and even moving to Boston for her. In the real world, however, not one of the aforementioned dating stories about Pitt was remotely true. And the same goes for this latest tall tale.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
