There is no doubt Brad Pitt is committed to being the "best dad" he can be to his six children with Angelina Jolie. But no one legitimately close to him told HollywoodLife that. Rather, the fabrication factory has made up another fake news story, Gossip Cop can confirm.
"Brad Pitt Going Through Time Of Self Reflection — He's Dedicated To Being The Best Dad," reads the headline. The accompanying article features a so-called "source," who is quoted as saying, "Brad is going through a time of great self reflection and reinvention, the past six months has been one of the most difficult times of his life, but he's growing as a person, and realizing what's really important in life." But there is nothing revelatory, new or exclusive in those statements. They're pretty much what Pitt himself said in his May cover story for GQ.
There's no inherent news value or originality in the subsequent quotes, either. "Brad doesn't get to see the kids everyday now, so the time he does have with them is extra precious to him. He really wants to make the most of every minute, and to be present," the site's "source" supposedly says. Additional quotes include, "The children are everything to Brad, they always have been, but even more so now that he doesn't have them with him every day," and "he is truly dedicated to being the best father he can possibly be, and to making sure each and every one of his children know that they are loved and cherished by him, unconditionally."
What have we learned? Only that Pitt loves his children and is adjusting to seeing them less, just like every other divorced parent in the world. The outlet's story is filled with obvious statements that just as easily apply to your neighbor down the street. It is not unique information the online publication obtained through reporting. In fact, Gossip Cop has repeatedly been assured that Pitt's camp is not discussing his life with HollywoodLies, especially when such articles involve his children.
Sometimes Gossip Cop feels sorry for the webloid's writers. It has to be tough posting fake news stories that are constantly being disproven and corrected. Last month, for instance, the site made up an "exclusive" about Pitt's plans for Father's Day. We knew immediately it was a fabrication, and we were proven right when the actor actually spent the holiday apart from his kids. That just indicated what we have said all along: HollywoodLies does not have inside access or insight. So, it resorts to manufacturing provably false tales or crafting pieces filled with guesswork, like the recent article about Pitt missing Knox and Vivienne on their birthday.
Of course Pitt missed being with kids on their birthday. Of course he wants to be the best dad. But the only "exclusives" here are that such pieces are exclusively made up by HollywoodLies.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
