Brad Pitt Did NOT Apologize To Jennifer Aniston, Despite Fake News

A new report claiming Brad Pitt apologized to Jennifer Aniston for “all the heartbreak” he caused in their marriage is simply inaccurate. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this fake news.

The ex-spouses divorced in 2005 after Pitt fell in love with Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and now the latest issue of Life & Style says the newly sober actor recently made amends to Aniston as part of his recovery. A supposed “source” tells the magazine Pitt called his ex-wife to “address all the hurt he caused her” and also “apologized for not being the husband Jen deserved.”

The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to say the actor further expressed “his long-held guilt over what he’d put her through,” and further contends that Aniston was “really won over by his apology,” which has resulted in the beginning of “a new era” for the two. But Gossip Cop looked into the tabloid’s story, and a trustworthy source close to Pitt exclusively assures us he didn’t call his ex-wife to ask her forgiveness. As Gossip Cop noted, Pitt and Aniston have exchanged friendly texts in recent months, but the magazine’s story about a fawning apology simply isn’t true.

Of course, we’ve debunked countless stories about the exes over the years, especially in the wake of the actor’s divorce from Jolie. Gossip Cop previously called out Life & Style’s sister publication, In Touch, for publishing a false cover story about Pitt and Aniston co-starring in a movie to get “revenge” on Jolie. We also busted the magazine’s phony cover story about a nonexistent “secret reunion” between Pitt and Aniston. This latest article about the ex-spouses is equally bogus.
