A tabloid claims Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie secretly filmed X-rated videos while they were married, and now the actor fears his estranged wife will release the tapes. The story is both illogical and untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
According to the National Enquirer, Pitt and Jolie filmed “shocking home movies” while they were still together. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “Angie and Brad regularly had wild parties, and things got pretty kinky. Nothing was off-limits.” The supposed tipster goes on to say that some of the props used in their “erotic action flicks” included “whips, chains, leather, hot wax, gags – you name it.”
The seemingly phony source continues, “They would have sessions in a private jet. Brad even hinted at wild lovemaking in the cockpit of Angie’s plane while it was on autopilot. There wasn’t anything Angie wouldn’t try, and Brad always went along.” From there, the outlet contends that Pitt has “lost track of the titillating tapes,” but believes Jolie has them and “will make them public to cast a negative light on him.”
“This footage exits, and Angie claims not to know where the tapes are, but it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume she’s got them stashed somewhere,” adds the questionable tipster. “Brad has been sober since the split, and he’s smelling like a rose among his fans, the media and Hollywood peers these days. But if this smutty footage were ever to hit YouTube, it would ruin that carefully constructed image in minutes!” It should be noted, YouTube doesn’t allow explicit content on its platform, but that’s the least of the problems with the tabloid’s ludicrous story.
For starters, let’s say these X-rated videos exist – and there’s nothing to indicate that they do – Jolie would be featured in them as well. How exactly would releasing them be a good strategy in terms of casting Pitt in a negative light? The actress has also been vocal about doing what’s best for her six kids amid the divorce. Would releasing X-rated videos of her and their dad be in the best interest of the children? The whole premise is just illogical. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who dismisses the publication’s report as flat-out “crazy.”
Additionally, this isn’t the first time a tabloid has come up with a variation of this bogus premise. Earlier this year, Gossip Cop called out the Enquirer‘s sister publication, Star, for falsely claiming Jolie planned on leaking a video of a “drunken” Pitt in order to win custody of their kids. No such video was ever released and there’s no proof it exists.
The Enquirer itself has also peddled this bogus scenario before, only with journals instead of videos. Last year, Gossip Cop called out the publication for wrongly reporting Jolie kept a “dirt diary” on Pitt which she planned on using against him. That alleged “diary” hasn’t been published. The tabloid has no insight into what’s going on with the ex-couple’s divorce, so it prints nonsense about the situation instead.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
