Brad Pitt is not giving Angelina Jolie credit for his "sexy new look" while filming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, despite a bogus report. Gossip Cop can correct the made-up story. It's simply fabricated.
Pitt was recently photographed looking fit on the set of his upcoming film, and according to HollywoodLife, it's all thanks to his divorce. The blog quotes a so-called "source close to Brad" as saying he "credits Angelina for bringing out the best in himself" because their split inspired him to start dieting and exercising. "Now that he is single again, he is trying to take better care of himself," adds the alleged insider. The website goes on to suggest that Jolie should "get a special mention in the credits of Once Upon a Time In Hollywood."
Here's the part that's true. In a GQ cover story last year, Pitt talked about "quitting drinking and becoming a better man" following his split. There have also been reports about Pitt living a healthier lifestyle in the wake of his breakup. However, the actor doesn't "credit" his contentious divorce and custody battle for getting him into better shape.
In fact, the actor plays a stuntman in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, so he presumably bulked up for the role. The website is using photos of the actor looking buff while shooting a movie and randomly connecting it to his divorce. One has nothing to do with the other. It's also worth noting, the site ends its piece by arbitrarily recycling past claims about Pitt having a crush on co-star Margot Robbie. It also mentions his so-called "secret meeting" with Jolie at her house earlier this month. Gossip Cop has already debunked both of those false premises.
Additionally, we've been told several times that no one in Pitt's trusted inner circle is leaking details about his personal life to the blog. Remember, HollywoodLife is the same outlet that published several false stories about Pitt dating MIT professor Neri Oxman. Of course, the two were never romantically involved. If the site truly had a "source close to Brad," it wouldn't have spent months writing about his nonexistent romance with the professor.
It's worth mentioning, the blog's ridiculous article is predicated on the idea that it's unusual for Pitt to "look sexy," so the "credit" should go to his divorce. But it's not exactly a secret that Pitt has been considered one of the most handsome movie stars throughout the entirety of his career, both before and during his marriage Jolie. In addition to being fabricated, the outlet's story is illogical.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
